‘DISABILITY IS TO BE RESPECTED AND NOT NEGLECTED’

Special need children from ‘SAHAS-An Institution for Special Need Children’ were invited to SNPS, Nirankari Colony, on the occasion of Children’s Day that was celebrated on 15th November, 2017. Around   21 children along with their teaching staff came to our school. This was an encouraging step taken by our honourable Principal, Ms. Poonam Syal. This social exposure would definitely help in the enhancement of their personality along with boosting up of their confidence. The celebration began with an inspiring speech delivered by Eshav (VI A), highlighting the importance of the day and throwing light on the life of Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru. This was followed by a mesmerizing poem by the primary students. Finally a dance performance was presented by the special need children of our school, which was highly appreciated by the audience. A quiz session and a group dance were held for the guest students, in which all of them participated enthusiastically along with their teachers. The guests were then presented with cards and gifts as a token of love and care. The celebration ended with a luncheon party organized for the guests.
